Quality management

In 2010, Mack & Schühle was the first European wine importer to be awarded the IFS Broker certificate. The majority of our suppliers are also certified in accordance with current standards such as IFS or BRC and meet the most stringent quality requirements.

We hold up to 10,000 internal tastings every year and check the traceability of our wines, current packaging and labeling regulations, and optimum storage conditions as a matter of routine. In addition, our wines are analyzed regularly and extensively by independent and certified laboratories.

Sustainability

Mack & Schühle was the first wine distributor to establish a milestone in sustainability by acquiring EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) validation and continues to do so. The EMAS environmental management system focuses on the careful use of local natural resources, environmentally friendly production and logistics processes, and sustainable management and is governed by strict guidelines laid down by the European Union.

Mack & Schühle also holds organic and Demeter certification – the prerequisite for trading in organic and biodynamically produced foods. We select our wines with care and perform extensive checks to ensure that our products meet these exacting standards.

We already offer a wide range of vegan wines and continue to work with our suppliers to expand our vegan product portfolio.

We are proud supporters of the “Wine in Moderation” initiative and the “Don’t Drink and Drive” campaign.
