The Dalmore stands for one of the most prestigious premium whisky brands in the world. One of its most exclusive whiskys - the Single Malt Scotch Aged 45 Years - is now being served at the China Club Berlin.
The Dalmore meets China Club Berlin
Above Berlin, at the rooftop of the famous Hotel Adlon Kempinski, resides one of Germany's most renowned private clubs: the China Club Berlin. In the midst of the hectic metropolis, initiator Anne Maria Jagdfeld has created an exclusive refuge that is both a discreet retreat and a place to meet and exchange ideas. The heart of the China Club beats in the PEACE BAR! This is where members come together day and night, whether to enjoy the unique flair of the Berlin sky or to experience the high art of mixology.
We are proud to now be represented with our spirits in this exclusive ambience: Recently, our Brand Activation Manager Merlin Braun was a guest at the China Club to hand over a bottle of The Dalmore - Aged 45 Years in a ceremonial setting.
For this exclusive whisky, Master Distiller Richard "The Nose" Paterson has developed a blend of some of the distillery's most valuable casks. The whisky matures first in ex-bourbon casks made of American white oak, then in carefully selected barriques of Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as in used Tawny Port casks, which in turn contained up to 20-year-old Port in their first life, and in aged Port Colheita pipes.
In total, the whisky matures for 45 years - and the result is absolutely sensational: on the nose, the Scotch reveals the scent of fresh coffee beans, and on the palate, notes of prickly pear, ripe bananas and caramelized apple. The finish shows intense, with orange marmalade and honey and a touch of cranberries. Long, very long! Harmoniously balanced and with a perfect maturity. What a whisky!
